Bendigo Bushwalking and Outdoor Club

Bendigo Bushwalking and Outdoor Club (BBOC) was formed in May 2008 from the amalgamation of the Bendigo Bushwalkers and the Bendigo Outdoor Club, (colloquially known as BOGS). The two clubs amalgamated to pool resources and strengths and to provide a more varied calendar of activities. BBOC currently has 50 plus members, all of whom are foundation members!

The logo is a combination of the BOG's much loved bushwalking boot, designed by a member in the club's early days, and Bendigo Bushwalkers' snowflake on a mountain, a symbol from when that club was called the Bendigo Alpine Club.

Our calendar includes bushwalking, bike riding, rafting, canoeing and cross-country skiing. Our members run these activities locally, throughout Victoria and sometimes interstate and overseas. Activities pitched at different levels cater for different groups within the club such as those who prefer overnight pack carrying trips, or day walks from a base camp, or social day walks. Bike rides tend to be on mountain bikes, or leisurely rides through local bushland. River environments are visited on weekend or day trips - rafting, canoeing or kayaking.
